EA Sports Active

EA Sports Active Review, By GreenPixels:

There are those people who thrive on exercise, but most of us are not those people. I can attest that I am certainly not. And while I've had moments where I've been very fit, most of the time I'm more couch potato. The idea of a fitness game -- something that would keep me entertained, and, more importantly, coming back each day -- is something that I'd love, but nothing that's come out yet has been really great. Happily, however, EA Sports Active easily wins top honors in this rapidly growing genre.

Active takes a Western approach to fitness -- don't look for yoga poses here, as it's all cardio and strength training. The game gives you the choice of doing either one-off workouts or doing the 30-day challenge, which challenges you to do a series of 20 customized workouts over the course of a month. Each workout consists of a series of short segments, from running in place to boxing to bicep curls to tennis volleys, that segue quickly into each other, combining cardio segments with lower and upper body strength training
